The North Street Student Ministry (NSSM) exists to participate with God, the church, and families in leading students (grades 6th-12th) into a devoted relationship with Jesus.
What do we look like as our relationship with Jesus deepens? Not only do we experience the joy of our present salvation given to us by God (Eph. 2:8,9), but God also transforms us by the power of the Holy Spirit as more and more we begin looking like Jesus in the way we think, feel, talk, and behave (2 Cor. 3:18; 5:17; Gal. 5:22-23). As a result we will impact the world for good by the way we live (Matt. 25:31-46; Eph. 2:10) and we will look forward to the radical transformation in store for us when Jesus returns (1 Cor. 15:50-58)!
HOW DOES THE NSSM ATTEMPT TO ACCOMPLISH THIS DIVINE MISSION? Obviously, only God has the power to save and transform and He does this through Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We are here to show students the way to God and assist them in their relationship with Him. We do this, in the context of caring Christian relationships, primarily through Special Events (about 22/year), weekly Bible classes, Student Lifegroups, and Discipleship Groups.
